African Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine (AFJCCM) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access biannual scholarly journal published by Bioscience Press. The journal is dedicated to advancing research, clinical practice, and innovation in cardiology and cardiovascular medicine. The journal provides a high-quality platform for researchers, clinicians, cardiovascular surgeons, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and public health experts to disseminate scientific discoveries that improve cardiovascular health and patient care.

AFJCCM is committed to publishing scientifically rigorous, ethically conducted, and clinically relevant research that addresses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases. The journal promotes interdisciplinary research that bridges basic science, translational research, clinical medicine, epidemiology, digital health, and public health. By fostering evidence-based practice and scientific exchange, AFJCCM aims to contribute to improved cardiovascular outcomes, health equity, and sustainable healthcare systems across Africa and beyond.

The journal publishes Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Short Communications, Case Reports, Clinical Images, Editorials, Perspectives, Commentaries, Letters to the Editor, and Clinical Practice Guidelines. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and are evaluated for scientific quality, originality, ethical compliance, and clinical significance.

All submissions to the African Research Journal of Biosciences are first checked for extensiveness before being sent to an Editor, who decides whether they are suitable for peer review or not. Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the established guidelines. Failure to follow them may result in papers being rejected. All papers are subjected to double-blind peer review. When making a decision, Editors will consider the peer-reviewed reports. Peer review reports are sent to authors along with the editorial decision on their manuscript. All articles published in this journal represent the opinion of the authors and do not reflect the official policy of the African Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine.

Manuscripts must be solely the work of the author(s) stated, must not have been previously published elsewhere, and must not be under consideration by another journal. All submissions are checked by the journal editorial team to ensure that they conform to the paper requirements outlined on the guidelines to authors page of the journal’s website, such as paper length, the standard of the English language, format of figures and tables, referencing style, etc. are considered. If the submission does not meet the journal’s criteria the submission will be dropped, and the authors asked to resubmit after addressing the issues.
